Tatting

In this two session workshop, you will learn the basics of shuttle tatting using one shuttle. First, students will learn how to make the double stitch and picot while creating rings and chains, which are the basis of all tatting patterns. You will have the skills to make a butterfly and decorative trim at home. We will also talk about the tools and threads

In the second session, we will review any questions, learn how to read patterns and combine rings and chains into a motif. We will cover reversing the work, lock joins, Josephine knots and double picot. We will make a small ornament or flower motif.
