These tiny, Kata Golda botanical pincushions are almost too darling for words! Each features a unique embroidered image, stitched onto naturally dyed wool felt. Each is totally unique in size, shape, and shade!
All stitch work is done with cotton thread, mohair/silk yarn, and tussah silk. Each pin cushion is very densely stuffed with crushed walnut shells to keep your needles sharp. Each comes with a piece of scrap felt carrying several silver tipped pins, and steel needles.
Colors will vary because each item is plant-dyed by hand. Each feature a unique botanical design, and while neither design nor exact shade can be selected beforehand, we promise the surprise is well worth it!

ABOUT Kata Golda
The Kata Golda studio, owned and run by Allison Kaplan, is nestled snugly in the small, mossy seaside town of Port Townsend, Washington. Much of the inspiration for her work comes from the subtle details in the natural world, where nothing is straight and nothing is perfect. Allison creates slowly and with intention and tries to use up every little scrap of fabric. The things she make take time. Allison find immense joy in sharing her love of hand work with others through free sewing tutorials, DIY kits, and carefully curated bundles of plant-dyed fabrics. Taking the time to slow down and make something with your hands using quality materials is such a gift, and she feel so lucky to do this work.
