Heirloom Mitered-Corner Napkins with Drawn Thread Hem Stitch

In this two-session workshop, we will create an heirloom-quality linen napkin while learning two foundational techniques in fine hand sewing: mitered corners and drawn thread hem stitch.

We will begin drawn thread work, followed by constructing precise mitered corners, exploring several variations of hem stitching and their historical use in household textile traditions. Participants will gain both technical skill and an appreciation for the quiet complexity of this timeless, functional handwork.

This class is appropriate for beginners and intermediate sewists, and is ideal for those interested in slowing down and deepening their hand-sewing practice.
