Each amulet is hand stitched out of this indigo dyed blue linen and has beads, charms, or antique sequins incorporated into the design. Amulets are lightly stuffed with crushed walnut shells and buckwheat hulls and hang from an adjustable 19-22" crocheted cord.

The Kata Golda studio, owned and run by Allison Kaplan, is nestled snugly in the small, mossy seaside town of Port Townsend, Washington. Much of the inspiration for her work comes from the subtle details in the natural world, where nothing is straight and nothing is perfect.
