Spinning Workshop in Brooklyn, NY with Gigi Matthews

Spinning is a foundation of fiber arts. This ancient craft goes back at least 38,000 years, using animal and plant fibers to create thread and yarn with a weighted stick, better known as a spindle. In this class, you will spin your way down the millennia by learning how to clean, blend, and turn flax, hemp, and wool into your own hand spun yarn.

You will leave with a spindle of your own and the foundational skill for endless future projects.
