Activity
Join us for a hands-on gathering exploring the therapeutic power of textiles, led by Nicole Nehrig, author of With Her Own Hands, and Rachel Cohen, founder and clinical director of Common Threads Project. Through the gentle, meditative practice of slow stitching, participants will discover how working with cloth and thread can offer pathways to processing trauma, building social connections, and fostering a deeper sense of agency. This workshop invites reflection, embraces imperfection, and encourages living in a state of becoming.
Together, we will create a temporary collective story cloth – a shared textile that symbolizes our individual experiences while situating each of us within a larger community narrative. The focus is on presence and process: simple stitches, steady breath, and the soothing rhythm of needle through fabric.
No experience is necessary – just a willingness to experiment, play, and let the work unfold in its own time.
