Join celebrated artist, maker, and author Arounna Khounnoraj for a hands-on workshop inspired by her newest book The Handmade Home. In this immersive experience, participants will explore three textile techniques—block printing, weaving, and sewing—while creating a one-of-a-kind pillow from start to finish.
Guided step by step, Arounna will introduce block printing to design custom fabric, demonstrate accessible weaving methods to add texture, and show how to bring it all together through simple hand and machine sewing. The project is inspired by one of the creative projects in The Handmade Home, and each student will leave with both new skills and a completed pillow—including the pillow insert—perfect for decorating your own space or gifting during the holiday season.
All students will also receive a signed copy of The Handmade Home, filled with 21 beautiful and practical projects that transform everyday materials into modern homewares. Additional signed books will be available for purchase at the workshop—ideal for the gift-giving season.
Whether you’re new to textile arts or a seasoned maker, this workshop offers a welcoming environment to explore sustainable craft, learn versatile techniques, and experience the joy of creating something truly handmade for the home.
