Color Basics - The Color Series

Color Basics with Erika Mulvenna - The Color Series

This lecture is part of the four-part virtual Color Series. This lecture may be purchased à la carte at a suggested donation of $15 or as part of a four-part package for a discounted price of $240.

This lecture will introduce participants to some color basics: a brief background on how humans historically studied and organized color, definitions of color wheels, systems, and practices, and an introduction to using basic color terms, or color characteristics, to describe and communicate with color.

Our Speaker

Erika Mulvenna is a Fiber Artist, author, and educator who has a deep appreciation for the process of sewing and quilting. She earned a BFA in Fiber Arts, learning under internationally renowned quilter M. J. Lintault. Known for her fascination with color theory and bright colors, her work has been featured in magazines, online publications, and multiple exhibits worldwide. Erika is passionate about sharing her love of sewing and quilting with others and inspiring them to explore their creativity.
