This pocket allows you to honor the practices of quilting and of historical pocket making. With each kit, you will bring new life and new purpose to an antique quilt block. By altering and engaging with your antique quilt block, we hope you feel the powerful connection to a stitcher who sat and worked many decades ago. Some of these quilt blocks are over 100 years old, their beautiful calicos and floral cottons speak for themselves. 

Each kit contains: 

• (1) Square of batting, large enough for pattern piece

• (1) Antique quilt square

• (2) pieces fine linen lining fabric

• (1) piece of denim fabric for backing by Auntie Oti

• 16” Twill tape

• (2) TATTER threads 

• (1) Needles

• An instruction booklet and template by Karen Stevens
