'Toshiko' a beautifully restored, hand-carved Japanese sewing box has a lovely crimson undertone. A lovely, showy, peony flower emblazons her front.  Her two drawers are deep and lined with antique, indigo resist-dyed katazome fabric with a chrysanthemum pattern. This unique box also has a fold-up, hidden mirror!

In this box, you will find a variety of cotton and silk threads, an antique darning tool, assorted laces and trims, assorted vintage buttons, braided mending threads, a seam gauge, mending fabrics, a tape measure, beeswax, a ceramic needle minder, and snips.

This heirloom piece is sure to add beauty to any room and will inspire the creativity of her keeper.
