Quilted Sashiko Winter Booties

Hunker down for the colder months with these hand-stitched toasty, cozy, quilted Sashiko booties. The simple Sashiko embroidery serves double-duty as decorative and quilting stitches, and constructing the booties entirely by hand is a wonderfully soothing way to prepare for chillier temperatures. You’ll want to make multiples to warm up toes of all sizes, especially tiny ones!

This three session class will include a brief overview of the history of Sashiko embroidery and will provide step-by-step instructions for creating fully lined, hand sewn quilted booties. A PDF tutorial document with alternative sewing methods and Sashiko pattern options will also be provided.
