Students may choose to work with larger pieces to showcase their quilting style or with narrow strips to create color and variation. The goal is to create a block around 10″ square, but the final size and design are entirely up to each student.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"\u003eHave you used linen before? This is a wonderful opportunity to try it out. Sarah always works with linen, finding its tactile quality particularly enjoyable when stitching by hand, and she will bring a selection of her linens to share. Students are welcome to bring some of their own linen fabrics as well—the more, the merrier! The class also works beautifully with cotton fabrics.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"\u003eOnce the blocks are pieced, students will explore a variety of quilting techniques to add texture and dimension to their work.
