Golmu (골무, Thimble) is a small tool that protects your fingers from being pricked by the needle and helps to push the needle along while sewing.
Korean traditional golmu is worn on an index finger and made with patchwork fabrics, embroidered fabrics, leather, or metal.
Youngmin will introduce a few stitch techniques to make a traditional Korean thimble including gamchimjil and satteugi.
Gamchimjil is used to sew together small pieces of silk fabrics and Satteugi is used to connect two small panels.
A materials kit will be sent to you as part of this class.
